The girls, mom and I headed to San Antonio for spring break this year. We left Mt Ayr Friday afternoon, MA was to get 3-5 inches of snow Friday night into Saturday morning so we thought we would beat the storm. Well MA got a dusting of snow! Oh well, we stayed in Blackwell, OK Friday night. Saturday was a driving day. We stopped at Rea Drummond's Mercantile store in Pawhauska, OK. Mom and I watch her show Pioneer Woman. We ran into accident after accident and road construction on our way to TX. We didn't get to our hotel until 10:00 PM. Needless to say we were all tired of being in the car. It rained quite a bit too. Which caused some of the accidents. Sunday we went to the Alamo, River Walk and Tower of Americas. We had a fun day. Monday we went to Sea World. All 4 of us had a great time. We took in 3 shows. The weather was beautiful to walk around. We toyed around with the idea of driving down to Corpus Christi but the weather this week was cooler in TX. Of course next week it is to be in the 80's. I knew the water wasn't warm enough for the girls to actually swim in the gulf, so I didn't think it was worth the 2 hr drive to dip their toes! We headed back home on Tuesday. Stayed in OK that night. We had a great time. Just wish the weather would of been warmer. Sounds like there were cold snaps throughout the states. It is always fun to getaway!
