trick or treating 2016

We had a beautiful night for TOTing this year.  Haydn and I walked with our neighbors again this year. Hannah dressed up, went to a few houses with her friends and then went to a haunted house. We stopped there with our neighbors too but didn't know Hannah was there until she got home.

Tonight was our annual pumpkin carving.  Hannah's was cross country and Haydn was minion.

 

 

 

 

 

State XC Meet 2016

Hannah along with 3 other 7th graders ran State XC today. Hannah ended placing 2nd out of 70 some girls!  YAY!!  Her time was 12:54!!  Not her personal best but PRETTY AWSOME!!  We originally thought they needed 5 girls to qualify as a team but after the race we found out only 4 girls were needed to make a team!!  DCG girls WON the MEET!!  YAY!!!  The XC team had a great year. Her XC coach has coached DCG XC for 7 years and this year the 7th/8th grade girls got 1st place 5 out of 7 meets!! Yay again!!!  Can't wait for next year already!

Center Grove Orchard 2016

The girls did not have school today, so we headed to Center Grove. It was our 1st time there and it was a lot of fun.

Hannah's Friend Party-Turning 13

Hannah, Olivia and Ellie had a joint friend party tonight at Perfect Games in Ames. They did lazer tag, ate pizza/cake and played some arcade games.  Everyone had a great time! They were definitely quieter on the way home than on the way up.  I think the lazer tag wore them out!!! 

 

 

 

 

DCG Mile Run

It has been a standing Homecoming tradition at DCG, the mile run. This year it was a week late due to rain out. This year it rained during the race.  This is Hannah's last year running and Haydn's 2nd year running. They group them 4th/5th grade and 6th/7th grade.

1st XC meet 2016

Hannah had her 1st XC meet today at Camp Dodge. She ran a great race and ended up getting 10th over all.  Very proud of her!!
