summer 2017, back to school

Where did our summer go?  We traveled a lot this summer. Well I should say Hannah did . She traveled to Canada over the 4th of July with a friend on their annual fishing trip. She now has her own passport!  She got home from Canada and headed to Wisconsin for regional track meet. Home one night and we headed to the Ozarks for vacation with Wes's family.  We have traveled to Iowa City, Davenport, Minnesota and Mt Ayr. Haydn was able to travel to Missouri for the solar eclipse.  School starts today for us. Hannah is in 8th and Haydn 6th!!

Hannah turns 14!

Hannah is 14th!!  The 4 of us went out for supper on the 11th, she chose Panera! Friday night she opened her gift before going out for supper. Saturday morning we headed to Fogle for our annual camping trip.  We headed to MN on Sunday (8-13) for two days of shopping and rides at Mall of America. She got her permit on Wednesday (8-16).

Haydn's room

Mom and I painted Haydn's room. She found bedding she liked last winter. Her room now looks "tween".  Got rid of her papason chair, stuffed animals gone and went through books. We rearranged her room too. She loves it!!

photo shoot with Haydn

Hannah had fun taking pictures of Haydn this summer. I am surprised Haydn would dress up and pose for Hannah to do this. Hannah caught some great pictures of her!!

state track meet in Ames 2017

The girls ran state track in Ames yesterday and today!!  Hannah ran 800, 1500 and 4x4.  Haydn ran 400.  The weather was great and the girls gave it their all. Great way to end the track season.

Haydn's track/field day

Haydn had her last elementary track and field day today. It was not the warmest day for running! They had 4 events that everyone did, 50m run, 200 m run, tug of war (which seemed like every kids favorite) and long jump.  Fun way to wind down the school year!
