4th Grade Music Concert

Haydn had her music concert last night. The theme was "I Have A Dream". Fourth grade is when our school starts playing recorders,  along with some students playing recorders some had speaking parts (Haydn) and solos.  Haydn did an awesome job memorizing her speaking part. I only got the one photo throughout the concert. She loves to sing.

Daddy/Daughter Dance 2016

Haydn had her D/D dance last night at high school. This was Hannah's 1st year not attending. Dance is for preschool-5th grade. Hannah did Haydn's hair and even took the pictures. I thought it was cool that Hannah wanted to help her get ready. Haydn isn't a big fan of dresses, didn't want a new one, I think she just didn't want to go shopping. She doesn't like to dress up, well she is OK with skirts but I think she just doesn't like acting like a lady! She had a great time, danced very little with Wes but hung with her friends and danced the night away! Wes texted me a video of her doing the "watch me whip and nae" she was hilarious! She wouldn't of done that knowing Wes was video taping her. Wes said she was sweating, not surprising! Fun night for Wes and Haydn to spend time together, and Wes get to see her interact with her friends! Wish Hannah would of done a close up of the two of them, but these are good!

Hannah Gets Braces

Back in December at the girls and I regular 6 month appt. our dentist said that Hannah could use braces. So while on Christmas break we went to our 1st orthodontist appt. Last week she got spacers on which were temporarily (they were taken off today, when top braces were put on) this made room for the metal brackets. Today she got top braces. It took right at an hour. She is awesome. I took ibuprofen today in case she needed it but she said that she was not in pain. I took her back to school and she did well. Last week when the spacers were put on, she said they were painful. The spacers are very thin, a little thicker than floss but Hannah said it hurt when they put them in between her teeth, we had to come back home get some meds and then trek back to school. Of course today I was prepared and she didn't need it! So in 18-24 months she will have a beautiful smile. In her situation it wasn't that her teeth are so much crooked as her jaw is narrow. This is a new adventure in our family, for Wes nor I had braces!  Let the fun begin!

V-Day Box 2016

Haydn decorated her V-Day box this afternoon.  She didn't spend too much time and I think this is her last year of decorating a box. She had the chance to decorate a box or just a paper sack at school. I am sure the boys at this age are not into V-Day. I know Hannah only decorated bags last year! Aw... times are a changing!

and then her eyes are closed!
